Zamano teams up with Setanta Sports to put videos of every Premiership goal on mobiles within minutes of happening!
Zamano and Setanta will launch the new service in early October allowing supporters receive videos of the goals on their handsets within 6 minutes.
The service is available on all mobile networks to every handset which supports video (over 90% of handsets in service)
Zamano’s CEO John O’Shea commented “this is a fantastic example of mobile technology being used to deliver great entertainment services. Users will get a goal alert and be able to see their team’s goals within minutes, and view round-ups of all other action at half time and full-time”
Zamano will use new real time publishing and cloud hosting technologies to deliver multiple video formats to every handset that interacts with the service. The delivery of high quality, video goal clips, minutes after the goal has been scored, for all 380 Barclays Premiership League games, is a first for the Irish market.
The technology has multiple re-use capabilities, which zamano hope to exploit in the near future with other owners of content which can be brought to mobile
